Where do you think I went last week? Up to the hill or down to the beach?
Still a bit traumatized by Lombok’s humidity strike, I need more time not to visit any palces by the sea. Haha.
I dragged myself up on the hill this time to satisfy my thirst of historical knowledge. I sweated myself up to the point of almost fainted, haha.. and visited Gunung Padang Megalithic Site. In Cianjur, West Java. To be honest with you, before that Saturday, I had no idea Cianjur was so freaking far away from Jakarta, not to mention from Bintaro. It drove me insane. Haha.
Because of the remote location without public transportation access, I decided to join an open trip. Cheap and hustle-free (err.. not so much in the end, though). At 6.15 sharp in the morning, I arrived on the meeting point. The next 30 minutes, all twelve of us were on our way to Karyamukti Village.Continue reading “Gunung Padang Megalithic Site”→
Beberapa tahun lalu, temen-temen kantor sedepartemen ngajakin jalan-jalan ke Lembang, Bandung Barat. Lembang memiliki banyak banget tempat wisata. Diantaranya yang kita kunjungi adalah Gunung Tangkuban Perahu, De Ranch, The Valley dan Rumah Stroberi.
Last weekend I went for a short break out of town, to Bandung. Never too tired or bored to visit this city. The fresh air and rather-cold weather are what attracted me the most. It is a plus that my boyfriend spent 5 years in the city during his study in Bandung Institute of Technology(ITB) so he knows Bandung like the back of his hand. He introduced me to the amazing places of Sundanesepeople (Bandung’s natives).
Also. No one can deny the various and creative Sundanese cuisines. Any kind of veggies, tofu, meat or fruits can be elevated to whole new level of delicacy. Even the rice tastes better here. Ahaha.. It is true, though. That’s another reason I enjoyed every minutes of my trip to Bandung. Continue reading “Teras Cihampelas Bandung Skywalk”→
I’ve been meaning to write about my trips several months ago, but there seemed to be so many things to do and so I held up. West Java was one of my favorite places to visit because of their chill environment, forest and mountains -can’t help myself imagining having wedding reception there. Two years ago a bestfriend asked to accompany him (K) and his wive (Z) to go on a weekend short break. And so, I kidnapped my bf to join.
During my time in the company I am still working for, I met many kinds of expatriate colleague. One of which craziest and most annoying, yet fun was K from Persia (Iran). He currently works in Beijing. He was okay, or I supposed. But the moment he asked me to accompany him to Cirebon for snake skin was just too much to take. I thought he was joking, like, dude, watcha gonna do with that?! Sell it to black market in Teheran or something.
But gosh, he was serious. So, on July 20th 2013, we took first train of the day to Cirebon. For snakes. Dead snakes. Skin. Skin of a dead snakes. And I was still sleepy when he excitedly opened taxi door.
