Taman Bintaro Jaya Xchange

Happy weekend!

I think this is the best idea of a town and I am thrilled that many cities in Indonesia have realized the importance of providing easily accessible city park. Either dibangun oleh Continue reading “Taman Bintaro Jaya Xchange”

Balikpapan: Hutan Mangrove, Canopy Bridge, Taman Bekapai dan Monpera

20131221_103723

Teras Cihampelas Bandung Skywalk

Teras Cihampelas (uphill)

Last weekend I went for a short break out of town, to Bandung. Never too tired or bored to visit this city. The fresh air and rather-cold weather are what attracted me the most. It is a plus that my boyfriend spent 5 years in the city during his study in Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) so he knows Bandung like the back of his hand. He introduced me to the amazing places of Sundanese people (Bandung’s natives).

Also. No one can deny the various and creative Sundanese cuisines. Any kind of veggies, tofu, meat or fruits can be elevated to whole new level of delicacy. Even the rice tastes better here. Ahaha.. It is true, though. That’s another reason I enjoyed every minutes of my trip to Bandung. Continue reading “Teras Cihampelas Bandung Skywalk”

Biasanya geradak geruduk sih.

Mauki’ kemana? Makassar mi.

Haluoleo

Haiyaaa!

I’m back. After devastating month of overtime in office (which, to be honest, assuring my bank account: saved), I’m thinking of starting to write again. Due to my longing for mountains and beaches and hotel comfort food, the post is about travel. Compare to what I did last year or years before that, my travelling experience this is year goes nowhere. ZZzzz…

Well. I’d like to remind my self with what I did in 2014 with my partner in crime, Sara. The year when life was still gold and full of promises. Hahahaa.. you know what I mean, ebeb Sara. That was the time which Sara and I went out of town, or country, without planning or even thinking it through. The one that I’m about to tell you started out with office-chatty time with her, on how she would visit her (former) Continue reading “Mauki’ kemana? Makassar mi.”

Kemana ke Jogja?

402532_3099972067394_923487184_n

West Java Wonder Part 1: Taman Safari and Taman Bunga Nusantara

20140201_133554

Hi everyone!

I’ve been meaning to write about my trips several months ago, but there seemed to be so many things to do and so I held up. West Java was one of my favorite places to visit because of their chill environment, forest and mountains -can’t help myself imagining having wedding reception there. Two years ago a bestfriend asked to accompany him (K) and his wive (Z) to go on a weekend short break. And so, I kidnapped my bf to join.

well hello there, cutie..

I thought it’s gonna be boring. Boy, was I wrong. For two days, we had so much fun in different way. In Taman Safari, after strolling around the zoo, Z decided to take a swim with the dolphins! Envy much. -I couldn’t  Continue reading “West Java Wonder Part 1: Taman Safari and Taman Bunga Nusantara”

4 Days in East Java Part 3 : Bromo and Savannah

20150628_094507

On my last day of traveling to East Java, I dared my self pursuing my curiosity of Bromo Mountain. Many friends, local and foreigners have all recommended me to see the magnificent view. And so it went.

With the help of my tour guide, Backpacker Borneo, who are very professional and cherish, I finally stepped my shoes in more than 2000 meters high ground.

On Saturday night, at about 11, they picked me up with a hard-top four-wheel drive. Took around 3 hours to reach our first destination, Penanjakan 3 Bromo. There are many spots to watch sunrise: Penanjakan 1 is the most popular, yet very very crowded; Penanjakan 2 pretty much the same, lower height; third one is most recommended based on my tour guide’s experience.
