4 Days in East Java Part 2 : Agrowisata Petik Buah, Museum Angkut and Pasar Apung Nusantara

Greeting, fellas!

Very nice weather here in Jakarta.. Set the mood to write. Plus, I just had my favorite dinner, Rib Eye Steak (yet again).

Here it goes..

After a whole day strolling zoo, I was thinking of getting more quite time in the it-museum, Museum Angkut. Angkut in Indonesia means transport. It’s alright to expect old cars, planes, or andong; but, there are more, way more than that in Museum Angkut. Never forget that they add “..and Movie Star Studio” for a reason.

As I told you in Part 1, you may use your Garuda boarding pass to get 20% off ticket. Pretty cool, cause it means that you only get to pay Rp 64.000,- during weekend (Friday-Sunday).

First floor, they greeted us with 2 meters Bumblebee, then copper, old cars, bikes, vintage racing (I wonder how they got it), and a very cool Lincoln Continental.

Second floor is mostly about ships. Amazed with two masted-sailing ship, Phinisi. Though I’ve got the miniature one from my trip to Makassar. Gets me proud as Indonesian, all the time.

And before you can spell boring, the Movie Star Studio entrance is ahead of you. I can tell, this was the most exciting museum I’ve ever visited. Broadway road, European cities, and Las Vegas, baby… Well done.

Girls, this is the right place to take many selfies. Note that.

Another unique place was Pasar Apung Nusantara. It has direct access to Museum Angkut. After finish walking through the museum, you will be welcomed with bamboo gate which lead you to food heaven. Had a snack and a little chit chat. The concept was brilliant. Love it.

Traditional Javanese Snacks

The following day, my family and I took a walk to Kusuma Agrowisata. My mama would like to buy tons of apples. LOL. This fruit field served only apple, orange and guava. I tried the minimum package which include 2 nos per fruit per person, a bottle of yogurt, toast, and fresh juice. Oh, and also a tour guide.

This was my playground. It’s been a while since I climbed a tree. Had fun!
